These academic electives offer language-intensive experiences for the beginning language student.

Spanish 

Introduction to Spanish (SEM) is the first part of an academic, high school level, elective class. The focus is on building vocabulary and basic sentence structure in oral and written activities. Home activities/practice are expected/required.

Spanish I/II (YR) is the second part of the academic, high school-level elective class. Students will continue strengthening communication skills (speaking, writing, listening, reading) through oral and written activities. Home activities and practice are expected/ required. IMPORTANT- Please be aware that this course does NOT offer high school credit; however, it does allow students to take AP Spanish their senior year of High School. 

Prerequisites for this course include completion of Introduction to Spanish and Spanish and English teacher recommendations.
